One of the biggest holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide is Eid al-Fitr. It signifies the conclusion of Ramadan, a month-long season of fasting. The holiday of Eid is widely celebrated in Bangladesh.
Many travel back to their hometowns to celebrate the event with their families and loved ones. Bangladesh Railway officials have planned special Eid trains to run throughout the holiday to facilitate this. In this article, we shall discuss the Eid special train schedules and routes.
With Eid-ul-Fitr 2025 fast approaching, Bangladesh Railway has announced special arrangements to ensure a smoother and more efficient travel experience for passengers.
To accommodate the high demand for tickets and travel convenience, several initiatives have been introduced, including online ticket sales, additional train services, and strategic measures to manage crowds.
Advance Eid Ticket Sales Schedule
For the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr 2025, Bangladesh Railway has announced the schedule for advance ticket sales. Passengers traveling to destinations in the western zone (West Zone) can purchase their tickets online starting at 8:00 AM, while tickets for the eastern zone (East Zone) will be available from 2:00 PM onwards.
To ensure a smooth booking process, travelers are advised to check the designated time slots for their respective trains and complete their reservations accordingly.
Tickets will be sold online, and passengers can purchase a maximum of four tickets per person. Below is the schedule:

Important Notice: No Tickets Will Be Sold at Counters!
All tickets must be purchased online through the Bangladesh Railway ticketing website or mobile apps.
Ticketing Information
- Ticket sales for March 31, April 1, and April 2 will depend on the sighting of the Eid moon.
- All advance and return tickets for Eid travel will be sold exclusively online.
- Advance tickets for intercity trains in the western region will be available online from 08:00 AM, while tickets for the eastern region will be available from 02:00 PM.
- From March 27 until the day before Eid, all intercity trains will operate without their scheduled weekly off-days. Regular off days will resume after Eid.
- Goods trains, except those carrying containers and fuel, will remain suspended from March 30 at midnight until 6:00 PM the day after Eid.

- ১৪ মার্চ ২০২৫ তারিখ থেকে অনলাইন টিকিটিং সিস্টেমের মাধ্যমে ট্রেনের ঈদ স্পেশাল টিকিট ক্রয় করা যাবে।
- প্রতিটি এনআইডি কার্ডের বিপরীতে একজন যাত্রী সর্বোচ্চ চারটি টিকিট সংগ্রহ করতে পারবেন।
- অনলাইন টিকিট বুকিংয়ে মোবাইল ও বিকাশ পেমেন্টের সুবিধা থাকবে।
- ট্রেনের প্রতিটি টিকিট যাত্রার দিন নির্দিষ্ট স্টেশনে দেখাতে হবে।
- টিকিটের মূল্য ফেরতযোগ্য নয় এবং বিক্রয় পরবর্তী পরিবর্তন করা যাবে না।
বাংলাদেশ রেলওয়ের বিশেষ এই ঈদ টিকিট বিক্রয় ব্যবস্থাপনা যাত্রীদের স্বস্তিদায়ক ও ঝামেলামুক্ত ভ্রমণ নিশ্চিত করবে। তাই নির্ধারিত সময়ের মধ্যেই টিকিট সংগ্রহ করুন এবং ঈদের আনন্দ উপভোগ করুন!
